Coloplast opens new factory in Costa Rica

Danish medtech company Coloplast is spending more than USD 80m on building factories in Costa Rica to support its expected growth in the US market. The first of two new plants opens today.

Today, the first of two new Coloplast factories opens in Costa Rica, where the Danish company will produce its ostomy pouches.

The factory, located in Cartago, will initially manufacture the company's ostomy products, Coloplast writes in a press release. The company emphasizes that the new plant results from the group forecast annual growth rate of 7-9 percent ahead of 2025.
