Japanese medtech company Olympus is about to enter the market for single-use endoscopes.
Up until now, Olympus has prioritized reusable endoscopes with part of its business involving the servicing and maintenance of endoscopes in hospitals, but back in November 2019, Olympus stated that it planned to expand its product pipeline to also include single-use pulmonary endoscopes, sometimes known as bronchoscopes.
