Ambu will use pandemic to kick in door to new markets

The massive focus during the Covid-19 crisis on avoiding the spread of infections leads hospitals around the world to open their doors to single-use scopes from Ambu, which plans to raise DKK 1.3bn to make use of this opportunity to penetrate and establish itself on the markets.

The coronavirus pandemic has kick-started global efforts to avoid the spread of infectious diseases in health systems.

This development neatly suits the transition moving towards single-use products on the endoscope market which the medtech firm Ambu has placed high stakes on. At the moment, Ambu's CEO Juan Jose Gonzalez notes that the pandemic presents some new global opportunities relating to hospitals and markets worldwide.
