Pfizer’s experimental vaccine for mothers prevents severe RSV in infants in trial
The US-based pharmaceutical firm says this is the first study to show a vaccine providing protection against the severe lung disease in newborns right after birth.

Pfizer Inc. said a large trial showed that its experimental vaccine protected babies against a common respiratory virus when their pregnant mothers received it before giving birth.
