Lundbeck leads list of highest paid CEOs in Denmark

Deborah Dunsire was the best paid chief executive among the biggest Danish firms in 2021, with Novo Nordisk’s Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen hot on her heels. Genmab’s CEO is also at the top of the list composed by media Berlingske.

2021 was a very lucrative year for some of the people in the upper echelons of the business sector in Denmark, and leading the top 20 list put together by Danish financial media Berlingske is none other than Deborah Dunsire, chief executive officer of pharmaceutical firm Lundbeck.

In 2021, Lundbeck paid a total salary of DKK 60.8m (USD 8.2m) to Dunsire, who joined the firm back in 2018. She thus surpasses Novo Nordisk CEO Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen and his 2021 enumeration of DKK 58.3m.
