Pharmacosmos gets nod to use natural gas alternatives

As a precaution should the energy crisis intensify, the Ministry of Environment of Denmark has authorized the use of propane and gas oil instead of natural gas at Pharmacosmos.

In the case of a gas crisis, Pharmacosmos has been granted permission to use other fuels by the Ministry of Environment of Denmark, the authority writes on its website.

The ministry says the firm wanted the option to turn to other fuel options should the war between Russia and Ukraine cause a gas crisis, and the company was therefore making contingency plans.
