The Danish government has cancelled its plans of a national vaccine production tender, the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs informs MedWatch in an email. The message comes after the decision was made to financially support Bavarian Nordic's potential vaccine, which is facing clinical phase II testing.
"The overall assessment is that the best way to support a future vaccine production in Denmark is to support the development of Bavarian Nordic's vaccine candidate. This is why there are currently no plans for a tender," writes the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs.
