Bogus drugs and medical equipment abound in Europe

The covid-19 pandemic has provided opportunities for those selling fake merchandise on the internet, and a new report estimates that within the drug market, the loss of revenue due to fake commodities has grown to almost DKK 800bn.

Online shopping has reached new heights during the covid-19 pandemic, and vendors selling bogus medical and medtech products have been no exception to this trend.

Fake products such as face masks and hand sanitizer are being sold at a massive scale, and in some cases, vaccines are being sold but never delivered.
