US exercises option for Bavarian Nordic smallpox vaccine

The US government purchases the last part of its option for Bavarian Nordic smallpox vaccines at USD 12m.

The US government has exercised the last part of its option for supplies of smallpox vaccine Jynneos by Bavarian Nordic, according to a Friday press release.

This option is worth USD 12m and is part a USD 202m contract for smallpox vaccines which was agreed on in April 2020.
