Pfizer and Biontech request to expand authorization for vaccine for adolescents

The Pfizer-Biontech vaccine has EU approval for adults, but the firms wish to expand this marketing authorization to also include 12-15-year-olds.


Adolescents may soon get a covid-19 vaccine in the EU.

US pharmaceutical company Pfizer and Danish biotech company Biontech have applied to expand the marketing authorization for their coronavirus vaccine to also include children aged 12-15, according to a press release.
